Grant Support For the Repatriation of Native Remains and Items Through NAGPRA

Grant opportunity: The National Park Service's Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Repatriation grant program provides funding to assist applicants with costs associated with the consultation, documentation, and repatriation of Native American human remains and cultural/ sacred items. 

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include Indian Tribal governments, Native Hawaiian organizations, and museums. 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Award amounts will range from $1,000 to $25,000 with a performance period of one year. 

Deadline: May 8th, 2026
