Grant opportunity: With a mission to develop a well-trained and robust workforce to advance science for the health of women, the National Institutes of Health's Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) grant provides support for the implementation of research and career development opportunities for junior faculty, known as BIRCWH Scholars. BIRCWH Scholars will undertake interdisciplinary basic, translational, behavioral, clinical, and/or health services research focused on women's health.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, units of federal, local, or Indian/Native American government, and community organizations.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award is $840,000 per year with a grant period of five years.
