- September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance Grants will fund projects that mobilize volunteers to engage in service and remembrance activities that meet community needs, particularly with veterans and military families. Activities funded by this grant include developing educational materials and engaging youth in service to honor September 11th.
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (MLK) Grants will fund projects that mobilize more Americans to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday as a day of service in communities. Of particular interest to CNCS are activities that providing support and/or facilitating access to services and resources for economically disadvantaged people
Eligibility: Non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education, units of state and local governments, and federally recognized Indian tribes are eligible to apply.
Grant Amount: Award amounts will be determined by the scope of the project. Day of Service grants, however, typically range between $20,000 and $200,000. For MLK grants only, federal grant funds requested may not exceed 30 percent of the total program budget.
