Grant Opportunity: The Extended School Day/Violence Prevention (ESD/SVP) Program provides support to students through extended school day activities and/or school safety programs which promote violence prevention. Applicants may submit proposals for ESD or SVP programs, or a combination of both. All programs are required to serve a minimum of 50 children in grades PreK-12, operate for a minimum of 2 hours a day/ 3 days per week outside of the regular school day (either before school or after school) and provide enrichment activities for participating students.
Eligibility: School districts and not-for-profit organizations working in collaboration with a public school district(s).
Grant Period: The grant period is five years: from July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2026.
Grant Amount: Each application may include a request for an annual grant award of a maximum of $350,000. Agencies applying for multiple grants will be limited to a maximum annual award of $1,200,000. This includes agency membership as a partnering agency or as a partner in consortia projects.
