We are very pleased to announce that Brockport Research Institute is one of four finalists for a 2021 ATHENA Organizational Award. This award is given to organizations that create cultures encouraging women employees and associates to achieve their full potential in their specialized fields; developing women’s leadership initiatives beyond their local communities, and that give back to the larger community of women and girls by creating opportunities to utilize their skills and knowledge.
Founded in 2013 by Sara Silverstone, BRI is a New York State Certified Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) specializing in grant writing, grant evaluation services, project management, and professional development as an approved New York State sponsor of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE).
We also congratulate one of the other finalists, the Center for Youth. BRI has been proud to work with The Center for Youth since 2017, and we are honored to be in the company of such an exceptional and distinguished organization. Our hearty congratulations to the other two finalist organizations, Autism Up and Helen and Gertrude, as well. As advocates of leadership opportunities and advancement for women, we all win when we support each other, and each finalist organization has shown their commitment to the ideals of the Award.
