National Science Foundation LSAMP Grant Support For STEM Education Research Conferences

Grant Opportunity: The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program is a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant program that aims to diversify the nation's science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workforce by increasing the number of STEM baccalaureate and graduate graduates from historically underrepresented populations. Grants are now being accepted for the Regional Foundational and Forward-Thinking Educational Research Conferences category. Proposals should address the following:

  • Present and persistent challenges in diversifying the STEM workforce
  • Creating authentic and impactful partnerships among collaborators and alliance members that prepare students for success
  • Student preparation for current and emerging scientific and technological challenges and opportunities that pertain to national priorities

LSAMP grants in the Regional Foundational and Forward-Thinking Educational Research Conferences category will support conferences addressing "Developing Future-Oriented STEM Education Research and/or Priority Areas for Foundational STEM Education Research."

Eligibility: Accredited two- and four-year institutions of higher education (IHEs), non-profit, non-academic organizations, and for-profit organizations are eligible to apply for LSAMP grants in the Regional Foundational and Forward-Thinking Educational Research Conferences category.

Grant Amount: $100,000

Target Deadline: June 1, 2021 (Proposals may be submitted anytime throughout the year)
