National Science Foundation Now Accepting Applications for IUSE:EHR Grant Program

Grant Opportunity: The National Science Foundation is now accepting applications for their Improving Undergraduate STEM Education: Education and Human Resources (IUSE: EHR) grant program. IUSE: EHR aims to increase the quality of U.S. undergraduate education in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields by funding projects that generate new knowledge on STEM learning. Grants are administered in the following categories:

  • Engaged Student Learning (ESL) grants support projects that develop, explore, or implement resources, models, and tools that increase student engagement and learning in STEM. Projects in this category can focus directly on students or indirectly, such as through faculty professional development or research on learning.

  • Institutional and Community Transformation (ICT) grants fund innovative projects that apply evidence-based practices to organizational change processes.

Eligibility:  Institutions of higher education are eligible to apply.

Grant Amount/ Grant Period: Awards range from $300,000- $3 million

Grant Deadline: Full proposals are due on July 21st, 2021. For IUSE Level 1 and Capacity-Building Proposals, proposals may also be accepted until January 19th, 2022.
