Funding to Create Information and Technical Support Centers for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities

Grant Opportunity: The Office of Postsecondary Education at the Department of Education is now accepting proposals for their National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students With Disabilities Program. This grant funds the creation of a National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities to provide technical assistance and information for incoming and current postsecondary students with disabilities. In addition, the Center will provide assistance to faculty, staff, and administrators of institutions of higher education (IHEs) to improve services for students with disabilities.
 
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include individual or a partnership of nonprofit organizations as well as a partnership of two or more institutions of higher education. Applicants must show expertise in supporting students across a broad spectrum of disabilities in postsecondary education, technical knowledge necessary for the accessible dissemination of information, and the ability to work with diverse types of IHEs, including community colleges.
 
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum amount for awards is $1,980,000 over 48 months.
