Grant Opportunity: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its lasting effects on youth mental health, the New York State Office of Mental Health will provide funding through their Student Mental Health Support Grants program to New York State public school districts to address the emotional and psychological wellbeing of students who have experienced trauma. Projects supported by this program will improve student access to mental health resources, support students who have experienced stress, anxiety and/or trauma, and to support the adults that surround them while addressing inequalities.
Eligibility: New York State P-12 public school districts that had a economically disadvantaged student rate over 55.6% between 2019 and 2020 are eligible to apply. For a list of eligible school districts, click here.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award is $500,000 per year over a five-year grant period. Projects will begin July 1st, 2022.
