Grant Opportunity: The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation is accepting proposals for their Green Innovation Grant Program. This program provides funding for projects that that improve water quality and mitigate the effects of climate change through cutting-edge green technologies.
Projects will fall into one or more of the following categories:

Green Stormwater Infrastructure projects will improve water quality through reducing and treating stormwater at its source via infiltration and/or evapotranspiration.

Energy Efficiency projects will focus on reducing the energy consumption of water quality projects the improvement of technologies or practices and/or the utilization of renewable energy.

Water Efficiency projects will protect water resources through the use of improved technologies and/or practices to deliver equal or better services with less water.

Environmental Innovation projects will demonstrate innovative approaches to delivering services or managing water resources in a more sustainable way.
Eligibility: Municipalities, private entities, state agencies, as well as soil and water conservation districts are eligible to apply.
Grant Amount: Award amounts are dependent on the median household income of the municipalities the project serves. For more information about funding, click here.
