Grant Opportunity: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) provides funding to nonprofit organizations, units of government, and public housing authorities to provide home safety renovations and repairs for low-income elderly homeowners. These modifications will, in turn, allow older homeowners to remain in their home as they age while decreasing disability among this vulnerable population.

 

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include units of state, county, or city government, as well as special district governments and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Applicants must have at least three years of experience in providing services to older adults.

 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $500,000 and $1,250,000 over a grant period of 36 months with projects beginning on January 6th, 2023 and ending January 9th, 2026.
