Funding for Local Impact Nonprofit Programs

Grant Opportunity: NBCUniversal is now accepting proposals for their Local Impact Grants program. This program provides funding to nonprofits in select locations for operational support. Applications are accepting in one of the following focus areas:

  • Youth Education and Empowerment programs that equip youth with the skills and tools they need to succeed

  • Next Generation Storytellers programs that promote access and develop pathways for emerging and youth talent from underrepresented communities to explore careers in arts, news, sports and entertainment.

  • Community Engagement programs that enable individuals to engage and volunteer in their communities.

Eligibility: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and fiscally sponsored organizations in at least one of the above grant focus areas are eligible to apply. In addition, applicants must have total annual expenses between $100,000 and $1,000,000 as well as be located in one of the 11 NBC and Telemundo-owned television markets listed here.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Grant awards will not exceed more than 30% of the total annual expenses.
