Grant Opportunity: The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research’s (NIDILRR) Disability and Rehabilitation Research Project: Development and Distribution of Mobile Applications For Use By People With Disabilities grant provides funding for the development, promotion, and distribution of mobile apps that support individuals with disabilities. Apps created through this program should be developed with substantial input from those with disabilities and must aim to improve outcomes in community living/ participation, health and function, and employment.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include units of state, local, or tribal governments, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and American Indian organizations.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Grant awards will not exceed more than 30% of the total annual expenses.

Important Dates:

  • Letter of Intent Due: May 13th, 2024

  • Application Deadline: June 7th, 2024
