Supporting Children of Incarcerated Parents Through Mentorship Programs

Grant Opportunity: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is now accepting proposals for their Mentoring for Children of Incarcerated Parents grant. This program funds the implementation and delivery of group, one-on-one, community, or school-based mentoring services that promote family engagement among children of incarcerated parents.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments or organizations, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, or independent school districts. Organizations must have been active for at least one year prior to applying.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award amount is $400,000 with a grant period of 36 months.

Applications Due: June 24th, 2024
