Grant Opportunity: The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Women Business Center grant program provides funding for nonprofit organizations to partner with SBA’s District Offices, institutions of higher education, private organizations and other resources in order to promote the development and growth of small women-owned businesses through the development or reestablishment of Women Business Centers (WBCs). WBCs will provide technical assistance, training, and other entrepreneurial services for women, particularly those from historically disadvantaged populations.
Eligibility: Private non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that provide technical services to women are eligible to apply. In addition, minority serving institutions such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Institutions are encouraged to apply.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award will be $150, 000 with a grant period of 60 months, broken up into 12-month budget periods. Awards will be made for a base project period of 12 months, plus four continuation periods of 12 months each depending on performance and availability of funds.
