Grant Opportunity: The Bureau of Refugee Services (BRS) of the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance is now accepting proposals for their Services to Older Refugees program (SORP). This grant provides funding for organizations to administer programs that will help older refugees live independently such as aging services, pathways to citizenship, opportunities for social engagement, and legal assistance.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include New York State nongovernmental organizations such as nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, or faith institutions.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: BRS intends to award five contracts of approximately $269,723 for the first fiscal year. The grant period is 60 months.
