Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program 

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration just announced their new Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program. The goal of this program is to fund initiatives that work to ensure communities have equal access and skills to participate in the digital world. This is the first funding opportunity from the $1.25 billion Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program, which is the third of of the three Digital Equity Acts programs. 

Funding Amount: Between $5,000,000 and $12,000,000

Grant Period: 4 years, starting from the date the entity is awarded the grant. 

Eligibility: Non-profits, local educational agencies, workforce development organizations, political subdivisions, agencies, state instrumentalies, Tribes, Alaska Native entities, Native Hawaiian organizations, and other community anchor organizations. 

Application Due: U.S. Native entities- September 23, 2024 11:59pm. U.S. Territories- October 22, 2024 11:59pm.
