Grant Opportunity: The United States Department of Defense Minority Serving Institutions and Historically Black Colleges and Universities Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Consortium grant program aims to increase the diversity and inclusivity of the national STEM talent pool.
This grant provides funding for the establishment of consortia of Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and/or Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to increase the number of graduates from STEM disciplines important to the Department of Defense’s mission and encourage the research and educational capabilities of the institutions in these fields.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with proven capabilities of managing MSI/HBCU STEM programs.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The total maximum award is $150 million spread out over the ten-year grant period.
