Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE)
The National Science Foundation has announced another round of their IUSE program that supports programs that promote (1) Engaged Student Learning: the development, testing, and use of teaching practices and curricular innovations that will engage students and improve learning, persistence, and retention in STEM, and (2) Institutional and Community Transformation: the transformation of colleges and universities to implement and sustain highly effective STEM teaching and learning.
Funding:
Track 1: Engaged Student Learning (ESL)
(1) ESL Level 1- Maximum of $400,000 over a 3 year period
(2) ESL Level 2- Awards range from $401,000-$750,000 over a 3 year period
(3) ESL Level 3- Awards range from $750,001-$2,000,000 over a 5 year period
Track 2: Institutional and Community Transformation (ICT)
(1) ICT Capacity Building- $200,000 for a single-institution or $400,000 for multi-institution over a 2 year period
(2) ICT Level 1- Maximum of $400,000 over a 3 year period
(3) ICT Level 2- Awards range from $401,000-$2,000,000 over a 5 year period

January 18, 2025: ESL Level 1, ICT Capacity Building, ICT Level 1
July 19, 2025: ESL Level 2, ESL Level 3, ICT Level 2
