Grant Opportunity: The New York State Office of Mental Health’s Youth and Teen Mental Health First Aid Statewide Training grant program provides funding for nonprofit organizations to create or expand statewide training for Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) and Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA), two courses aimed at teaching individuals how to provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use crises.
Projects should focus on supporting the certification of YMHFA and tMHFA instructors, and ensuring the delivery of YMFA and tMHFA training across all of NYS.
Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that currently do business or are located in New York State are eligible to apply. Applicants must have had previously provided statewide trainings and have previously collaborated with the National Council on YMHFA and tMHFA training
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The grant amount is $2 million annually over a five-year grant period.
