Grant Opportunity: The National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) aims to broaden participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields in underrepresented groups by providing financial support for early-career individuals that show promise to be high achieving scientists and engineers. The GRFP provides funding for a five-year fellowship for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in the following STEM fields:

Eligibility: Applicants must be individuals enrolled at an accredited United States graduate institution located in the United States with the intention of pursue a research-based Master’s or Ph.D. program in an GRFP-eligible STEM field. In addition, applicants must be U.S. citizens and have not completed more than one year of full-time graduate study. For a full list of eligibility requirements, visit the GRFP website.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: Funds from GRFP are distributed over three years and total $138, 000.

October 19th, 2021: Deadline for proposals in the Computer and Information Science and Engineering, Materials Research, Psychology, Social Sciences, STEM Education and Learning categories

October 21st, 2021: Deadline for proposals in the Engineering, Chemistry, Geosciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Astronomy categories.
