Collegiate Science and Technology Program (CSTEP)
New York State Department of Education announced another round of their CSTEP program aimed at increasing access by minority or disadvantaged students to academic programs that have been registered by the commissioner and that prepare students either for licensure in the professions or for employment in scientific and technical fields. This program supports projects that consist of academic year and summer components including supervised training in research methods, graduate/professional school admissions preparation, standardized tests preparation and academic and career development activities.
Funding:
(1) Previously funded individual CSTEP projects have a maximum budget of $600,500 per year for 5 years.
(2) New individual CSTEP projects have a maximum budget of $299,500 per year for 5 years.
(3) Consortium CSTEP projects have a maximum budget of $999,500 per year for 5 years.
Eligibility: Institutions of Higher Education or a consortium of Institutions of Higher Education in New York State. Eligible applicants are a degree-granting postsecondary institution, or a consortium of such institutions, which offers an approved undergraduate program of study and/or an approved graduate level program of study.
Application Due: December 10, 2024 by 5:00pm Eastern Time.
