Grant Opportunity: The National Endowment of the Arts's (NEA) Research Grants in the Arts program funds research exploring the factors surrounding arts participation, characteristics of arts participation, or the impact of the arts on an individual or societal level. Projects should be conducted with an experimental or quasi-experimental approach in mind. The NEA is particularly interested in projects that include at least one arts-based intervention group and at least one non-arts-based control/comparison group.
Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3), organizations, units of state or local government; or federally recognized tribal communities or tribes located in the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants are required to have been operating for a minimum of three years as of applying.
Grant Amount: Individual awards will range between $10,000 and $100,000.
